Dr. Garcia was born in New Mexico. He attended the University of New Mexico where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry. He was on the Dean's Honor Roll while at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Garcia attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, which is one of the top 5 dental schools in the nation. Dr. Garcia graduated 18th of 163 students in 1983. Dr. Garcia received a National Health Service Corp. scholarship while attending Tufts, and treated children at a public health facility for 4 years. From 1985-1987 Dr. Garcia received orthodontic training through the United States Dental Institute.
Dr. Garcia has received extensive training in Cosmetic, Implant, and Reconstructive dentistry. His patients travel from Switzerland, Japan, Yugoslavia, Spain, Canada, and throughout the United States seeking his expertise and high level of treatment. Dr. Garcia attends numerous courses throughout the United States yearly, furthering his education and allowing him to provide cutting edge dentistry for his patients. His focus of practice is Cosmetic, Reconstructive, and Family Dentistry. His commitment is to quality and to continue to push the limits of excellence in dentistry, where he combines art with science to provide beautiful dentistry. Dr. Garcia's philosophy is to treat the individual, not just teeth. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, New Mexico Dental Association and the Albuquerque District Dental Society. Dr. Garcia is also licensed to practice dentistry in Massachusetts. He is married and has 3 children, enjoys sports, cars, art, and music.
