mirror I can't believe how beautiful my smile is now. For the first time in my
life, I'm actually smiling with my lips open instead of forcing them to stay
closed!
Growing up, dental health was not greatly emphasized by my parents. Over the
years, when I had a cavity my parents would take me to whomever they could find
to perform the work, and I would inevitably leave with one of those famous
"silver" fillings. While functional, they were by no stretch of the imagination
cosmetically appealing. Additionally, I had a missing tooth and several crooked
teeth in my smile line, along with staining and general wear.
After
entering the business world, the appearance of my teeth really started to bother
me, so I began searching for a dentist who would help me fix my smile. I became
frustrated with dentists in my community who were more interested in slapping
whatever material they had onto a cavity to "fix" it instead of listening to my
concerns and meeting my needs. My goal became to find a progressive dentist who
would listen to my concerns and not just dismiss those concerns as being trivial
- someone who would take the whole picture into consideration and spend time
with me to help achieve what I wanted. And being a bit of a perfectionist
myself, it was really important to me that whomever I chose had an eye for
detail and a commitment to excellence.
I
began searching the internet for dentists in the region and came across your
website. I was very impressed when I discovered that you had graduated at the
top of your class and that you had excellent training. I decided to schedule an
appointment with you, which was a very wise decision.
On my
first appointment, I found your office and staff to be very professional. No
pain... imagine that! Even though I was a bit anxious at first, your staff was
wonderful at reassuring me that everything would be okay. What I was most
impressed with was the speed, yet accuracy, with which the work was completed.
When you start a procedure both you and your assistant are very efficient at
getting it done as quickly as possible, and I greatly appreciated that! You
never pressured me to have any work performed, yet you were always attentive to
my concerns and offered recommendations when I asked what solutions were
available.
The
last step in perfecting my smile was to get veneers placed on my top front teeth
and to also get veneers placed on my booth teeth to close the gap that resulted
from my missing tooth. I was very excited about getting the work done, but also
a little nervous as I knew that I would have to live with the results for a long
time! You were so attentive during the process, and that instilled in me a sense
of trust that the final result would be perfect. You spent time with me helping
me understand the features that are characteristic of a natural looking smile,
and you helped me understand how my teeth could be transformed with veneers to
look beautiful. What I remember the most about the process was that amount of
time that you spent shaping my temporary veneers so that an exact mold of what I
wanted could be sent to the lab to be used as a guide to make the permanent
veneers. When the veneers came back from the lab, you refused to accept anything
less than perfection, even to the point of making the lab do additional work in
order to get the result that was exactly what I wanted. Thank you for caring
that much about me and for not trivializing my concerns. You are truly a
talented artist with a fine eye for detail, and my smile is a testament to the
quality you produce. I could not be happier.
It
would not be appropriate for me to close this letter without commenting on your
assistant, Bev. I spent quite a bit of time with her during my visits and must
comment that she is a true professional. She is extremely knowledgeable about
dentistry and is able to communicate that knowledge in a way that is easy to
understand. Very important to me was that she was honest with me when I asked
her opinion, and her honesty provided me with a great sense of security that the
final result would be excellent. By the comments she made it is evident that she
loves what she does, that she is very loyal to you, and that she has a great
deal of respect for your skill level: those trains are not often seen in today's
business environment. She is a great asset to your practice.
After
working in healthcare for over fourteen years, I've had the opportunity to
observer many medical offices. I can say without reservation that your practice
